2007 Driving Out Cancer Motor Rally & Car Show
The Geriatric Oncology Consortium (GOC) hosted its first annual Driving Out Cancer Motor Rally & Car Show on September 22, 2007. The event drew participants from across the state of Maryland to join in a 50 mile car cruise departing by police escort from the Greene Turtle in Edgewater, Maryland traveling south via scenic Route 2 to the Tiki Bar in Solomons Island, Maryland.
Once in Solomons Island, the cars were shined up and presented for public judging. Taking home the coveted "Best in Show" award were Jerry & Deborah Robinson with their 1966 Chevy Nova. What a beauty that Nova is and with the impressive line up of autos there...everyone was sure to find a favorite!
Plans are already underway for next year's Driving Out Cancer Motor Rally & Car Show. If you would like to join the planning committee or get involved in some other way, please contact Heidi Thomas by phone at (410)467-3600 or by using the contact us form on this website.
